In a rush? Don’t worry!

WE’RE ON A ROLL!

MakiMove needed a mobile app that would make ordering sushi fast and seamless. It would differentiate from its competitors by being aesthetically-pleasing, easy to use, and customer-centric.

Phase One: Research

We conducted interviews with 45 existing MakiMove customers and 25 customers who knew about the company and had not ordered.

We developed two user personas and created affinity diagrams to organize insights into themes. Additionally, the entire user journey was mapped out over a hand-written timeline, from opening the app for the first time to post-delivery feedback.

Phase Two: It’s Design Time!

Through wireframing and prototyping, I created an outline that created a simulation of the basic loyout and flow of the app. After gathering feedback from stakeholders, high-fi prototypes were introduced to users.

Testing and Final Touches

We conducted a task-based session with 20 users representing our personas and gathered feedback in different criteria.

The Results? Orders rose 30% in 3 months, and 20% of orders had higher values. Feedback was glowing, with more than 80% of customers saying the app’s ease of use made their choice of delivery food easier.
